Naive New Beaters - Live Good

Seems like everything worth listening to this month is frenchies singing in English! These three parisian kids have just released their first album "Wallace"and are bringing bad haircuts back! Heavy beats and a good sense of humour are the driving force for this band. They play music that has never been heard before... cute little french accents aren't the only distinctive feature. Youtube leads me to believe they are really hot on stage! i hope i'll be able to confirm that soon.

Enjoy!

We Have Band – You came Out

We Have Band – You came Out

London trio We Have Band is overflowing with originality and style. They've fine tuned their signature pop sound : both dark and fun, with a fat dose of humor throughout. All the tracks on their myspace are excellent, and they are even better performed live. They've been compared to the 80's a lot, but honestly, no one back then had this much energy!

The video is fantastic too!

Enjoy,

Off the record : Magistrates, Chew Lips, Delphic & Crystal Fighters on stage

Kituné parties are always this good! The four bands on stage last night at La Maroquinerie, in Paris rocked the house, each in their own way. Magistrates put on a fresh rock n'roll set full of emotion and energy. Delphic did the same, with a little more electro and more experience of playing live.
Chew Lips singer Tigs really gt the room alive, the band played 5 tracks of exciting electropop to a crowd of kids with their hands in the air. Tigs has charisma and class, and she's pretty friendly too! had a quick photoshoot with her!

Finaly, Crystal Fighters (no relation with Crystal Castles!) burned the house down with a sound half rage against the machine, half Asian Dub Foundation and a finger pointed to the sky.
Great show overall. Chew Lips and Crystal Fighters really impressed me on stage!

Enjoy,

Two door cinema club Vs. Phoenix

(Something good can work Vs. Lisztomania)
Three north irish kids with a mac in the first corner, four survivors of the late 90's french touch bubble in the other. These two bands have little in comon when you put it that way. But when you listen to the two tunes you can't miss the similarities. The frenchie lyrics seem to be half yoghurt and half musical history name droping, they are performed with incedible sincerity and no sexy French accent. The irish vocals are angelical and the guitar line is great. However, as i'm typing this, the song i can't get out of my head is phoenix!

Enjoy,

Charly
